While I grew a bit tired of the lo-fi beach tunes that filled the internet a few summers ago, every now and then a band with wavey vibes comes through that absolutely blows my mind. Young Magic, along with Andrew de Freitas’ video direction, that is exactly what happened when I was exposed to the visual/audible treat of “Night In The Ocean”. There is nothing too out-of-this world here, but for some reason it hits the spot perfectly. Young Magic’s debut, Melt, will be available Feb. 14 via Carpark.
