Can someone tell me why I slept on Scottish trio Young Fathers for so long? I saw our buddy Anthony Fantano aka the Needle Drop and several other reputable outlets cover their music. I also heard great things about their live shows. But for whatever reason, I never got around to hearing their stuff. That all changed this afternoon when the powerful and gripping “Mr. Martyr” hit my inbox with its passionate vocals and airy-but-booming production. This is the latest single off their forthcoming Tape Two project, which drops June 11. You can officially color me excited for that one.
