yesitsfiasco – “Pretending Not to See”

GREAT GOOGLY MOOGLY! That has to be the best press shot I’ve used yet. Anyway, the homie yesitsfiasco shot over his new album, SleepWalker, which acts as the follow-up to his 2009 opus Assorted Clips. For his latest project, he has put together a collection of instrumental tracks that have been composed and played entirely by fiasco. And from what I’ve heard so far, that change in style definitely makes for a captivating listen as he moves from one sound to the next. You have Latin funk rhythms injected into one track and then jazzy grooves in the next. On album’s first leak, “Pretending Not to See”, fiasco shows off his knack for crafting bouncy beats along with some nasty guitar chops. And that breakdown at the end? Fantastic.
