Yeah Yeah Yeahs Reveal Worst Album Art of 2013

Yeah-Yeah-Yeahs-Mosquito-608x607Yeah Yeah Yeahs aren’t wasting any time in 2013, jumping right to it and revealing the worst album art of the year. Yes, there will certainly be other ugly covers in the coming 12 months, but surely nothing will top this mess. The man responsible for this gem is Beomsik Shimbe Shim, a filmmaker and animator who thought it would be cool to put an insect terrorizing a child on the cover of the aptly titled Mosquito album. That album will drop in three months time and will be produced by David Sitek of TV On The Radio and Nick Launey. What is even more exciting is that one cut on the album will feature production from James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem fame, with a special guest feature from Kool Keith under his Dr. Octagon persona.

Mosquito drops 4/16 via Interscope. Watch a promotional video for the album below.

lol I see Interscope must still be flexing on young Dr. Octagon. The real question here though is which seapunk artist are they ripping off, because everyone knows seapunks invented cgi and bad art on purpose.
