Stones Throw and Now-Again are always bringing out some of the coolest shit I know I probably would have never heard otherwise. Here, they are re-issuing WITCH’s Introduction and Tirogo’s Float, two albums that are looked to as “gems of the Zambian scene.” After hearing the title track from the WITCH album, I can safely say that I concur with that sentiment. This is some very, very interesting stuff. And, actually, you might recognize the WITCH track from Madlib’s Beat Konducta in Album. He sampled the track in question for his song “Raw Introduction”, which you can check here. For more information on these releases, check the Stones Throw site.
