Will Sessions — who did the damn thing on Elzhi’s ELmatic — are gearing up to release what’s sounding like another killer project in early 2012. Next month, the Detroit-based live band will drop their Mix Takes album that features the guys tearing through tunes by guys like Bob James and Herbie Hancock. Will Sessions also weave in their own versions of samples made famous on tracks by Nas and J Dilla, among others. And today, we bring you 10-plus minutes of the band doing exactly what I described, something you damn well better free up some time to watch.
