The Weekly Rundown: April 20-27th

Welcome to the weekly rundown where we (soulsupreme and marty) provide you with our top ten headlines for the week that was.
- The Clipse leaked their first joint off Til’ The Casket Drops. The track features Kanye West and it’s kinda like a big deal. Props to DJ Khalil who dropped one the dopest beats of the summer.
- Eminem releases the 2nd joint off Relapse called: 3 A.M. He’s so irrelevant he should rename his album Regroup…lol He is officially 0-2 so far.
- Asher Roth got the co-sign from Eminem this week. Unfortunately, the reviews for his new album Asleep In the Bread Aisle don’t match up.
- Following the trend of “pay what you want” started by Radiohead with In Rainbows, K-OS is letting his fans set their own prices for his current tour. Good hip-hop at a reasonable price, who would’ve thunk it?
- Funkmaster Flex Threatens To Ban Interscope Artists. One could say he’s dropping bombs on Interscope…lol Well, it’s a good thing nothing hot has come from Interscope in a while anyway.
- Ol’ Dirty Bastard Tribute Album next month. Here’s hoping it’s not some bastardized shit like the posthumous Tupac releases.
- Swine Flu Outbreak hits U.S. With all the technology we have, shouldn’t we be able to quarantine this type of shit much faster? Hopefully this doesn’t become a bigger outbreak.
- Mos Def recently performed at the Blue Note in NYC. He covered a track from 808 & Heartbreaks and, as we expected, it sounds dope without autotune.
- Scott Storch Recovering From Cocaine Addiction, $30 Million Loss. We’re glad to see he’s in recovery and getting his life back together.
- The NFL Draft dominated sports headlines this weekend. Three quarterbacks were taken in the 1st round: Matthew Stafford to DET, Mark Sanchez to NYJ & Josh Freeman to TB.
