Yes, this is a Wax Tailor track, but the spotlight falls directly on a man by the name of Aloe Blacc. Exactly two years ago today, Blacc released Good Things, a vintage soul album that sparked a bit of a craze around the California singer. I know you all had “I Need A Dollar” on repeat at one point or another. Spreading his wealth across the pond into France, Aloe Blacc has teamed up with downtempo producer Wax Tailor for his latest single, “Time To Go”. You will soon find out that Jean-Christophe Le Saoût, the man behind Wax Tailor, deserves a bit of the spotlight, too.
Along with the track, we have a crisp set of stop motion visuals to feast our eyes on. This song found its way onto Wax Tailor’s Dusty Rainbow From The Dark album, which boasts an eclectic roster of features ranging from Elzhi to Jennifer Charles of Dan the Automator’s Lovage.
