Taking a Lost In Translation approach, the xx perform Coexist opener “Angels” live in a hotel room in Tokyo. While official music videos tend to be the orthodox approach to promotion of albums, this live performance seems to be the only way to do this lonely piece any justice. If you happened to have given the rest of the new album or prior leaks a spin, you will notice that the lyrical content revolves heavily around love in a rather deep and depressing manner. Not exactly the way many people might want to end their summer, but this sure will get a ton of burn as the colder months approach. Oh, and the production is flat-out brilliant.
