Watch Q-Tip Talk About ‘The Last Zulu’ & Working With Busta Rhymes

Although Q-Tip didn’t make an appearance on Cruel Summer, his G.O.O.D. Music debut is set to drop some time in 2013. In an attempt to restore some legitimacy into the label that has continued to put out second-rate pop rap like Big Sean and 2 Chainz, Q-Tip assures us he will be bringing lots of boom-bap and lyrical content to the forefront. Yes, the album is called The Last Zulu, which Tip seems to hint will consist entirely of his own production. While we would have enjoyed some Kanye beats on there, we know the Tribe rapper and producer will do a fine job by himself.

The second half of the brief interview notes at a recent collaboration Q-Tip and Busta Rhymes worked on. We have been on the fence with Busta’s output as of late, but as many of you know, anything these two work on together tends to turn out golden. That single they just knocked out is called “I Wanna Thank You”, and apparently we can expect it to drop sooner than later. We will see about that.
