We weren’t all over Joey Bada$$’s 1999 mixtape, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t see the potential in this young MC. He has an undeniably nostalgic flow, bringing back just about everything we love about the early New York City hip-hop days. But we just didn’t feel his lyrical content held much weight compared to that of those who came before him. In a cypher format, though, along with the rest of Pro Era, this man truly thrives. Spitting over and incredibly smooth Nick Wiz production, the entire crew flaunts bar after bar like seasoned veterans. While the Pitchfork Selector series is sometimes more humorous than constructive, this edition is totally worthwhile. Give it a spin below and share your thoughts with us afterwards.

Nik Wiz is the fucking man
agreed!
Reminds me of the Duck Down family, which is a good thing. I hope they continue to build like they have been. I would gladly share my work with them to help the NY vibe get stronger: http://luvjonez.bandcamp.com
