Has anyone been revisiting Frank Ocean‘s brilliant full-length debut, Channel Orange, now that summer’s officially here? If not, I highly recommend it. I also recommend checking out this footage of the Odd Future singer performing a series of new tracks during his show last night in Munich, Germany.
We only get to see about a minute of the first tune, which Frank performs a cappella, while the other two are in line with the ballad-esque cuts on CO. There’s a stomping element to the second track, too, which makes me think it’ll hit a whole lot harder on the record. On the third cut, Frank sounds most at home, switching between an emotional sing-song and near-shouted vocals about “doing anything for you” and avoiding falling into a suburban slump.
