Easy-going, funny, and smooth as water, North Carolina’s Wally Left has established a simply enjoyable sound (with Chuck Inglish on the boards, how can you not?) and image with “World Series”. The crisply-filmed visuals, shot by Acid Proof, revolve entirely around the historic game of baseball: practice fields, professional league ballparks and some humorously unskilled friends dominate the duration of the video–though Left, despite the true origin of his home, sports a Los Angeles Dodgers jersey.
Everything about Wally screams “West coast”. His relaxed demeanor and delivery; the white smile and the matching team apparel; even the name itself. In this sense, it’s more ironic than inauthentic that he isn’t from the sunny coasts of California. In any case, this young artist certainly has potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing what he does next. Check out “World Series” below and let us know what you think in the comments.
