One of the funnier moments of the past week arrived when Bunny Wailer, a founding member of the Wailers, called out Snoop Dogg’s Snoop Lion persona as fraudulent. And while we chuckled endlessly at the news, this new clip of Snoop talking about his relationship with Bunny has us scratching our heads. Are these guys actually cool and Bunny was just being a dick? Or did Bunny have second thoughts after working with Snoop and stands by his word? Who knows, but props to LargeUp for revealing this.
UPDATE: TMZ reports that Bob Marley’s son, Rohan Marley, believes that the Rasta community should embrace Snoop’s reincarnation and “welcome his positivity.” He adds that his father would have loved Snoop and that his family has been “cool” with the rapper-turned-reggae singer for years. Interesting.

I picture Bunny as the old guy in his neighborhood yelling at kids to get off his lawn and whatnot.
Thanks for the insight, sir! I’ll peep that soon.
Bunny is notoriously hard to deal with. About a year ago, John Jeremiah Sullivan (editor at Paris Review) went down to JA to find Bunny and had these two pretty surreal days speaking with him. Upon his return to the states, Bunny suddenly and seemingly inexplicable turned on him. What resulted was a surprisingly excellent article in GQ of all places.
