Von Pea, of Tanya Morgan, dropped one of last year’s better pure hip-hop albums, Pea’s Gotta Have It, and you have to imagine dude’s pretty proud of it. I mean, not too many rappers are keen on taking on the whole concept album thing and when they do, it’s not often that they pull it off. But Von Pea did just that with his record, which served as a means of chronicling his high school years. It also featured some ill straight-up spitting joints like “Thanks for Your Children”, which now has some simplistic but effective visuals. Oh yeah, this reminds me: Tanya Morgan has a new project, You & What Army?!, dropping soon. Oooooh yeah.
