All the fans of The Wire and Boardwalk Empire might recognize actor Michael K. Williams for his depictions of Omar and Chalky White, respectively. But in the near future, we’ll have another character to associate with Williams: Ol’ Dirty Bastard. He’s set to portray the late Wu-Tang Clan rapper in an upcoming biopic and at a recent Hurricane Sandy benefit, Williams showcased his chops with a live take on ODB classic “Brooklyn Zoo”. It sounds pretty solid, thanks in part to the live band featuring Capt. Kirk and Kamal, of the Roots. [via]
