When we previously heard from !llmind, the gifted producer streamed a selection of beats he crafted for Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music’s Cruel Summer compilation. Two months later, the New Jersey resident finds himself with a blindfold over his eyes in front of a record store for the latest Rhythm Roulette episode. He snags three records, including one from Patti LaBelle, and heads back to his home studio to see what he can flip. After scrolling through track after track without any luck, he finally hears just the right sound and the groundwork for his new beat is laid. I won’t spoil what he ended up putting together, but it’s kind of a banger.
