Video: Frank Ocean’s 2013 Grammy Performance

After bagging a few awards during the show, Frank Ocean made his debut on the Grammy stage despite, you know, that cut on his hand. And instead of going with a more obvious choice like “Thinkin’ ‘Bout You” or “Pyramids”, he choose Channel Orange burner “Forrest Gump“. It made for an … interesting performance, partially because of the fact that it sounded kind of flat and never really went anywhere. Personally, I can dig how it was understated and the fact he didn’t EMOTE! like almost everyone else, but still. Anyway, I think “Pyramids” would have tore the place up.
