The team over at MTV caught up with Frank Ocean during a recent TIME magazine event and chopped it up about his new album. Well, sort of. They inquired about where the project stands and it led to Frankie explaining that when he was recording Channel Orange, he listened to a lot of Stevie Wonder and similar artists. But now, he’s been up on the Beatles and Beach Boys, which he said might trickle down into his next album. Considering you could definitely hear Stevie all over CO, it’ll be interesting to hear how the Beatles and Beach Boys could work their way into Frank’s writing.
