While performing at MayFest 2013 in Syracuse, N.Y. over the weekend, Earl Sweatshirt treated the clearly hype crowd to a special treat. Now unless he’s been performing this elsewhere and we just haven’t seen the footage yet, it seems as though he debuted a raw new collaboration with the RZA. Yes, you read that correctly: Young Earl and RZA have connected for a track off the former’s proper debut, Doris.
We don’t know the name of the song just yet—”Freckles” maybe?—but it’s sounding good so far. Also, is there a huge album RZA won’t be on this year? Earl’s Doris? Check. James Blake’s Overgrown? Double check. Kid Cudi’s Indicud? Checkity check check.
