Video: Benji B and String Ensemble Cover Flying Lotus, TNGHT, James Blake and More

Last night, acclaimed DJ Benji B took over the BBC Radio 1 airwaves to stream his live performance at Maida Vale studios with a 16-member string ensemble and arranger Grant Windsor. Together, for nearly an hour’s time, they performed and complemented tracks by the likes of Flying Lotus, TNGHT, James Blake, Drake, Dwele, and much more. It’s pretty incredible to hear just how fully fleshed-out some cuts, like FlyLo’s “Do the Astral Plane”, becomes with such a huge string section. Now, if only we had a download of the audio, the cypher would be complete.
