The story behind this Chicago-St. Louis connection of rapper Vic Spencer and producer-rapper Black Spade goes a lil’ something like this. Spencer was a fan of Spade’s work for a little while. And when they shared a live bill some time last year in St. Louis, they became fast friends. Spade then opened up his beat vaults for Spencer to choose from and this mixtape, the appropriately titled Go Louis, is the result. The project includes features from MCs from both of their hometowns, which means we hear from guys like Naledge, Tef Poe, Sulaiman, and others.
