Unknown Mortal Orchestra‘s 2011 self-titled debut was a fantastic record, don’t get me wrong, but their promotional efforts were a bit overpowering. Not that all of the videos they dropped weren’t great either, but I am totally ready for some new tunes from this electrifying band. The new single, “Swim And Sleep (Like A Shark)”, is a dusty jam that is a bit easier to listen to than previous efforts. With a grooving guitar melody and infectious hook, don’t think anything has been lost by the trio since their last project, though.
Unknown Mortal Orchestra will be touring with Grizzly Bear in the coming months and will be touring with a limited 7″ record. That is where this new song will reside. Check out the track below and see if the band is coming to a town near you.
