Somewhat quietly, Chicago stalwarts Typical Cats made their return last fall with their third-full length album, 3. They’re here to smack you upside with a reminder in video form with “Bitter Cold”, one of the LP’s standout tracks. Like the track itself, the visuals center on Qwel and his dynamic, blistering performance on the mic. As he intertwines between accordions and percussion, the camera revolves around Qwel’s person and attempts to capture and keep up with his raw emotion. It’s a simple, albeit engrossing, watch and one I surely recommend.
