The young beat-making Virginian, Tuamie, just released something new on August 27th, 1993, called Deja-Vu. At times the project is similar to the phenomenon it’s named after, like when you listen to the opening track, “Loving”, and think of Nas’ supposed ghostwriter and his song about those fancy notebooks with the elastic straps. Other times it’s just a nice beat tape that doesn’t evoke any suppressed thought bubbles about past rap twitter controversies. And the guy has a song on this called “Biggie and friends freestylin’ on Tuamie loops”.
