Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor recently spoke with Spin magazine for their upcoming September cover story. And in doing so, he was asked what he thinks about Kanye West and his latest opus, Yeezus. While that might seem weird on paper if you’re not familiar with NIN, it’s really not that out-there of a question. There are a lot of similarities between the brash, sometimes-harsh sonics of Yeezus and much of Reznor’s work and they’re both pretty huge figures in music. So why not ask him about Yeezy right? Right.
Reznor said that he knows West “a bit” and that he finds him to be an “interesting character,” adding the he really loves Yeezus. Well, Reznor doesn’t love the lyrics, but he thinks the “sound of it is cool.” Also, this: ” I will say that in terms of the role of the dangerous entertainer in 2013, nobody is beating him at that game.” He then says he feels that West “might implode.”
Ha. You can read the rest at Spin and you can buy Yeezus on Amazon.

All that matters is Hesitation Marks and September 3rd. Oh, and this banger as well. “Everything” http://smarturl.it/NINCoS
Not everyone knows that. Rad that you do, of course.
Trent Reznor commenting about a rapper shouldn’t be that weird. “Down In It” was basically a hip-hop track. And he’s collaborated with El-P, Saul Williams and Dr. Dre. And he namedropped the Bomb Squad as an influence around the time “Year Zero” was making rounds. So yeah.
