“The Triumph” is the powerful, stunning lead single from Los Angles producer Trebles And Blues‘ new album, From My Father. Like the other cuts on the record, it centers on a sample of a Korean folk song from the ’70s or ’80s. It also continues the narrative of From My Father, which chronicles the life of Trebles And Blues’ father. Years ago, his pops moved from South Korea to the U.S. with the hopes of building a life for himself and his family, only to be deported and forced to start his life over again.
