Experimental electronic music is a last resort term. It covers a lot of ground, and it works when a piece of music dabbles in more than one genre. With that said, Track Botanical’s Gaw Sym LP is experimental electronic music. The North Carolina producer laced the album’s songs with foggy samples that create a melancholy ambiance throughout with a lot of barely there guitar plucks. It’s what I imagine would happen if a hip-hop producer decided to make music in the mold of Explosions In The Sky. Download it, sit back and ruminate on the important things: like how rapidshare relinquished the file-sharing crown so easily.
