Toro Y Moi – “Fax Shadow” (Shlohmo Remix)

Consider this yet another if-Dave-was-here-he’d-be-all-over-this post. But, in all actuality, I’m posting this because it caught my eye (and ear). One of my personal favorite young producers, Shlohmo, opted to remix one of the tracks of Toro Y Moi’s fantastic Causers of This. Yes, that album’s tracks have been remixed to hell and back at this point, but Shlohmo does enough here with “Fax Shadow” to bring it to your attention. I love the bouncy, extra-melodic vibe he evokes here, taking the already spacey cut to, well, spacier levels.
