Topher Mohr – Ruthless [EP]

So you know that killer band that Mayer Hawthorne tours with called the County? Well, they are just back-up players for the blue-eyed soul singer, who we know also produces and DJs. One of the players in particular, Topher Mohr, has a solo career going on that I was just put on to by the homie Josh. He recently tweeted a link to Mohr’s latest project, a free EP called Ruthless that features five pop-infused throwback jams. They definitely aren’t as heavy on the soul tip as Hawthorne’s tunes, but they carry a similar wide-eyed retro vibe. I wholeheartedly approve.
