Toki Wright – “Crusades”

Toki Wright doesn’t just have killer music taste, which he showed off in his guest podcast. He is also a gifted MC who wowed us in 2009 with his Rhymesayers debut, A Different Mirror. Since then, he dropped off a free EP, BlackMale, and a series of freestyles and loose tracks. But this summer, he’s returning with a proper new project in the form of an EP. Although we have to wait until July to hear the project,  he’s already dropped his first single, the heavy-hitting, politically charged “Crusades”. It sounds like Toki’s still got that fire in his belly as he spits over the beat from Fabolous’ “The Way”. It also sounds like we should be in for one hell of a treat when the EP drops.
