I would have to assume that you might be otherwise bullshitting me if seeing Beck’s name attached to a Tobacco track wasn’t instantly intriguing to you. Well, it might not be intriguing if you’re not a fan of Tobacco or his work with Black Moth Super Rainbow, but then you wouldn’t be reading this if you weren’t. Anyhow, as Dave noted in his interview with Tobacco, it was great to hear how he utilized Beck’s vocals in a way they haven’t been for quite a while. His crooning on this track, “Grape Aerosmith”, gets hit with some reverb as its also buried behind a barrage of huge drums and whining synthesizers. And while Beck doesn’t make an appearance in the song’s video, his presence isn’t necessarily needed. Like previous Tobacco visuals, this one doesn’t mind treading into insane territory as a businessman finds himself losing his mind in a forest.
