In his review of Tipper’s fantastic Broken Soul Jamboree, Erik Stabile noted that “if these tracks built a house, you’d be enticed to enter, perhaps offered a drink, find yourself in the maid’s quarter…basically you’d enjoy your stay.” In other words: The album is very, very good and one worth checking for if you fancy well-orchestrated instrumental efforts. Apparently Tipper wasn’t about to just sit on his hands, though, as he quickly put together a two-song EP featuring “Snake Eyes” and “Chrome Splat”, which he has offered as a free stream. The first track has a very danceable air to it, amidst the grime and bloops, while “Chrome Splat” a more erratic, experimental experience. I’m not sure which I prefer, so how about you check ’em out after the skip and let me know.
