Some of you might already be familiar with Tincture, a 23-year-old producer out of Brisbane, Australia. Over the past few years, he’s gained a following thanks to his knack for flipping samples and cranking out bootleg remixes. But now the classically trained pianist is branching out and embracing a different arm of his artistic reach with songs showcasing his vocals and songwriting abilities.
That’s apparent on the shoegaze-y “Tryst” with Melbourne singer Hazel Brown, which here floats into more percussion-driven territory in the hands of Sydney producer Nakagin. We’re proud to premiere his clanking, mesmerizing remix that serves as a precursor to Tincture’s upcoming EP. You can hear both the remix and the original below.
