Thought At Work: 10 Black Thought Bangers

Is it just me or is it incredibly weird hearing that some of your favorite MCs growing up are getting into their 40s? Well, today marks Black Thought‘s 42nd birthday, making for one of the longest, and most illustrious careers in all of rap music. Operating in the Roots crew, Tariq Trotter often times gets overshadowed by band leader Questlove. But today the spotlight is on the Thought, who continues to prove why he deserves just as much credit for the success of the Foundation as anyone else.

While Questlove is definitely more of a showman and marketable figure, Black Thought has always been focused on spitting straight fire.
