So here’s the deal: Passion Pit chose to remix Bruno Mars’ “Grenade” and, in doing so, greatly improved the track. It’s not that the original was terrible, it just…sounded kind of contrived. Sure, Mars is a talented pop-songwriter and producer, but his stuff isn’t typically for me. But Passion Pit made it into an upbeat jam that I — and others — can greatly enjoy…with the help of some booze. Theo Martins chose to hop on the remix and make it even more enjoyable as he spits a quick lovelorn verse. If you’re still reeling from Valentine’s Day, this one’s for you. Or if, you know, you just had your heart shattered.
