I highlighted the strong production work of Thelonious Martin earlier this year when I stumbled upon (and stopped sleeping on) his 16-Bit instrumental effort. And wouldn’t you know it, I missed yet another solid project from the Chicago/New Jersey resident in [Super]. He’s made it clear that the album is inspired by Adult Swim, which means exactly what you think it does. This thing is brimming with psychedelic sample chops, off-kilter beats, and everything else you’d want from a Dilla-inspired instrumental album.
