If there’s one thing I know I can count in on the music community, it’s hearing a killer new project from Brooklyn’s The Stuyvesants every year. In 2013, they blessed our ears with the crate-dug goodness of Refined, and before that, we nodded our heads to The Finer Things (2011) and Remixes (2012). For this year’s offering, they deliver more of their patented sample-based audio bliss with Fine. It comes packed with 20 delectable instrumentals from the duo that’s become one of the most reliable production outfits in hip-hop today. I’m not even sure I need to sell this even more, because your ears will seriously thank the living hell out of you as soon as they hear opening track “Shakers & Movers.” But hey, if you need proof of just how ill this project is, skip ahead to “Synthetica.” Just be prepared to fall in love.
