You know those artists who pull from so many different genres that it’s hard to pin down just what kind of music they’re making? Yeah, well, that’s exactly the case with Connecticut’s the Stepkids, a trio of cats who clearly love any and every kind of music they have heard. Proving my point is their latest single, “Wonderfox”, which now has some trippy-as-hell visuals. The track pulls your ear in damn near every direction, from soul to funk to jazz to punk to classic rock. OK, congrats, Stepkids, you have our attention — just don’t let us down when your self-titled debut drops Sept. 27. K? Thanks.
