This past weekend The Legendary Roots Crew offered up a vinyl pressing of their late ’90s hip-hop classic Things Fall Apart as a special release for Record Store Day. Fourteen years later it stands as one of the, if not the best album the group has ever put together. In what appears to be perfect timing, the Roots have moved enough units to make Things Fall Apart certified platinum. The certification was made official on April 22, and aside from Phrenology going gold, it’s the only record the Roots have with that honor from the RIAA.
