The Qualities of Light Presents: Miguel Atwood-Ferguson

I had been hearing the name Miguel Atwood-Ferguson here and there over the past year or so, but I never really decided to investigate until I saw him perform at last year’s CMJ festival, backing Shafiq Husayn. Shortly there after, we began to be exposed to his work with the Suite For Ma Dukes, which was an orchestral tribute to the work of the late J Dilla. After being deeply touched by that DVD series, I had the opportunity to interview him for Rhapsody and delve a little deeper into Miguel’s life. It has been a slow process, but after checking out this awesome video from The Qualities of Light, I am finally starting to understand the true genius of this man.
