I don’t think I went a day over the past year or so without hearing about The Left. It seemed like every underground hip-hop head out there had great things to say about the trio of producer Apollo Brown, rapper Journalist 103, and DJ Soko. And as a means of widening their fan base before dropping their debut, The Left has thrown together a preview EP, Gas Leaks, that you can cop on iTunes. From what I’ve heard, such as lead single “Scared”, it’s sounding like all the praise for these guys was well worth it.
