In case you were wondering — and I know you probably weren’t — the Dead Weather’s Sea of Cowards was the one album I really, really thought should have made that top 25 list we made. I mean, come on, the absolutely perfect blend of scuzzy garage rock, southern blues swagger, and lyrical seduction put that record close to my personal best-of list. But hey, you can’t win ’em all, so I can at least find solace in sharing this killer video for “Blue Blood Blues”, which finds the Dead Weather playing a live version of the track. Oh, and make sure to listen for Jack White’s ridiculously bad-ass lyrics, such as “Shake your hips like battleships/all the white girls trip when I sing at Sunday service.” Awesome.
