The Cyclist – “Visions”

After shedding light on a new Matthewdavid remix, we catch more of some more Matthew McQueen news related to his label Leaving Records. Between McQueen and visual artist Jesselissa Moretti, the label has produced a number of quirky cassette releases, and even a few full-length projects. It is time to take things to the next level, though, as the label has now teamed up with Stones Throw, which will act as their exclusive distributor.

Furthermore, the two labels plan on dropping a collaborative double-cassette compilation, Stones Throw and Leaving Records Presents DUAL FORM. The release is set to feature artists like Sun Araw, Dntel, the Cyclist and more, making for quite the offering of progressive production. Our first taste is from the UK’s Cyclist called “Visions”, which is built on juvenile percussion and varying sample chops.
