Back in 2001, the Avalanches released their debut record, Since I Left You. Ten years later, it remains one of the select few instrumentals album that remain in my rotation. To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the original release, Modular is dropping a deluxe edition that includes the original album alongside a bonus CD that features remixes from the initial release, as well as new remixes from a star-studded cast of producers like El Guincho, DOOM, Canyons, Black Dice, and more. More details are soon to come, but this fabulous remix of the title track by Stereolab is now available for stream, which is actually ripped from a promo vinyl that dropped in 2002. Hopefully this also means that the Avalanches have a new record in the works, but the fingers will have to remain crossed on that. [via]
