“EFX” is the second single from Teengirl Fantasy‘s upcoming album, Tracer, due out on Aug. 21, and unlike their first single, “End”, we hear a human voice provided by Kelela. If you removed the vocals from the track it could be perfect background music for a scene in some ’80s action film scene when there was a lull in the gunfire. If the vocals were in Japanese it’d be good music for the opening of some anime show with a twisted plot, featuring robots and young women, or something like that. But the track has vocals and they’re in English, and it’s good enough as is.
