Tearjerker – Strangers [Album]

Tearjerker is a three piece band that sighs lo-fi shoegaze music out of Toronto. I stumbled across Strangers –which appears to be their debut — while looking for new and unheard musics to pirate on a Russian blog. Since I can’t decipher cryllic worth a shit, I was ultimately persuaded to invite these young chaps onto my hard drive by a lonely un-russian description on the page, “chillwave/lo-fi/shoegaze/downtempo,” and the timeless prism on their album cover that suggested that have some sense of aesthetic taste. Who says русские’s are only good for caviar and ethanol drink? Heh?

You can stream the opaque “Noah” below, which is lovely on its own, but particularly effective when its reverb bleeds through the other eight tracks on the album. Drape your knobby knees with a knitted blanket and perch beside a carton of cigarettes for this one, after you download the entire LP after the skip for free (or better yet, get legit and order one of their tapes in the MAIL).
