Talib Kweli – “Distractions” p. Oh No

Not long ago Talib Kweli dropped Gutter Rainbows to a lukewarm reception. I honestly haven’t given it more than a couple listens, it just didn’t move me like past projects from this BK MC. Anyway, Talib has quickly moved on to the next project, Prisoner of Conscious, which is slated for a 2012 release. The first leak, a socially driven “Distractions” with production from Stones Throw’s Oh No, gives us some new found hope in this legendary rapper. I am glad he has linked back up with Oh No, Madlib and the like, because he is absolutely thriving right now.
