Potholes contributor Paul Christiansen was feeling Take’s Only Mountain album in his review of the Alpha Pup Records project. Christiansen made a great point in noting that “Los Angeles-based electronic/beat producer Take should have released his newest LP, Only Mountain, under the title “Give a Cephalopod a Sounds Effect Machine.” He explains that Take should consider that a compliment as “such a name would fit a work seemingly produced by an eight-armed creature experimenting with computer generated noises.” Agreed.
