“Força” is the latest single off DJ K.O.’s EP, Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 3, which showcases Silent Knight’s inspirational social commentary and M. Josephine’s powerful chorus over an anthemic beat by upcoming Brazilian producer, Laudz. Keeping with the traditional formatting of the vinyl days, we’ve got a “B-Side” to liberate for this new Digital 12″. “Get ‘Em (Remix)” features Silent Knight, Skyzoo & Emilio Rojas trading bars over production from Neenah, an upcoming producer/singer from the Netherlands. This track is taken from DJ K.O.’s upcoming release with Beat*Society dropping April 6th titled Master Thieves 02: Picture These Remixes.
Back on November 10, 2009, DJ K.O. embarked on a year long campaign to release 12 EP’s in 12 months. If you happened to miss Living Out A State of Mind Vol. 1, Vol. 2 or Vol. 3, feel free to head on over to Elementality Productions right now to check it out!! Can’t forget to shout out the homie Objektiv One on the artwork!!

Welcome to the weekly rundown where we (soulsupreme and Marty) provide you with our top ten headlines for the week that was.
- Goodie Mob reunion show. If this means the whole group is getting back together, we have to admit we’re a little excited to see what comes of this. But if it’s just a reunion show? Eh, it’s difficult to look forward to a one-off concert.
- VH1 Hip-hop honours Def Jam special. This year the event honoured 25 years at Def Jam, which included artists like Public Enemy, EPMD, Beastie Boys, LL Cool J, etc. Black Thought and Eminem honoured LL with a special performance of “Rock The Bells”. The VH1 special will air Oct.13th.
- Jay-Z: “Lets be clear, no one is scared of 50 Cent.” Honestly, it’s a moot point. Kanye West would never do that to 50 Cent to because Fiddy never wins any awards. Read the rest of this entry »

Welcome to the weekly rundown where we (soulsupreme and Marty) provide you with our top ten headlines for the week that was.
- Beastie Boys album gets pushed back, MCA diagnosed with cancer. Hopefully MCA makes a full recovery soon, which is expected since the cancer is treatable. There’s way too much death going on of late.
- Ma Dukes and J Dilla’s heirs succeed in legal battle. After all the hardships Ma Dukes has gone through with J Dilla’s estate since his passing, it’s great to know the right people will be receiving the money now.
- Method Man & Joe Budden squash the beef at Rock The Bells. It’s good to see petty beefs come to an end, but damn, a series of Slaughterhouse and Wu-Tang diss tracks would have been nice. Read the rest of this entry »

Today we get our first look at Skyzoo’s upcoming LP, The Salvation, dropping 9/29/09 on Duck Down. This guy has been on his grind for some time now, and it looks like he might just finally be getting some of the recognition that he has deserved. And this track right here is the perfect example of Sky’s lyrical ability, as he goes in over another classic 9th Wonder production. Nothing new seeing these two rock together, but I feel like they both have stepped their game up a few notches over the past year or so. Download and give it a spin…

Welcome to the weekly rundown where we (soulsupreme and marty) provide you with our top ten headlines for the week that was.
- Nude pictures of Cassie and Rihanna surface over the internet. Who said hackers were bad? Christmas comes early this year!
- The Smoking Gun reveals a story confirming Alfamega was a snitch for the DEA. What happened to stop snitching? Rappers seem to be indirectly petitioning for the ’start snitching’ campaign…lol
- Vibe Rap Bracket. Joe Budden gives us his commentary on the rankings after being ranked #32. Joe Budden vs. Method Man…lol Read the rest of this entry »

Slow day today so I went over to okayplayer and swiped this high-energy Skyzoo joint featuring Wale and produced by Illmind. It’s good to hear some new, fresh material from Skyzoo, and he seems to be coming stronger than ever. And of course you can expect a dope beat on here from New Jersey’s own, Illmind. Peep the track and let us know how you feel about it.
